Advancement Project is a next-generation racial justice organization founded by a team of veteran civil rights lawyers in 1999. For more than 20 years, we have worked to fulfill America's promise of a caring, inclusive, and just democracy.
Our National office focuses on tackling inequity with innovative strategies and strong community alliance, building power in communities of color and strengthening movements while always ensuring impacted communities are at the forefront of change. We combine law, communications, policy, and technology to create workable solutions and achieve systemic change on issues of democracy, voting rights, and access to justice. Above all, we envision a future where people of color are free – where they can thrive, be safe and exercise power.
Our California office engineers large-scale systems change to remedy inequality, expand opportunity, and open paths to upward mobility. In our key issue areas of Education Equity, Equity in Community Investments, and Political Voice, we research the public systems that govern our lives, launch campaigns to change policy, move public dollars toward equity, and build power for residents alongside our community partners. Our goal is to transform the public systems that govern our lives to promote racial equity and build a foundation so that every Californian may thrive.
Your support helps provide the flexible, unrestricted funding we need to continue innovating our initiatives, tackling new challenges, and expanding our reach and impact.
