I'm a struggling college sophomore student attending Long Island University, living in a single parent household. My family consists of an elderly Grandmother, my three siblings and my young niece. We live with my Mother who has always wanted the best for me. Unfortunately, she consistently struggles to make ends meet, due to a very low paying job and a series of mounting debt. Because of our poor financial circumstances, it's difficult for my Mother, the head of our household, to buy food and provide for our seven-member family. Because we suffer from never having any extra income, we live a very meager existence in a poor, poverty stricken community; and it’s difficult for me to apply for student loans. My father abandoned me as a child and his whereabouts are unknown. For that reason, I’ve never known him because he has been an "absentee father" from my entire life. There is absolutely no question that I am in need of financial assistance if I am to continue my education. Therefore, I humble myself in asking for your help with my college tuition. Please contribute to my college account and help me with a donation so that I will be able to pay my tuition. It does not matter how big or small, but right now, I am facing a HUGE deficit because I’ve been having a hard time paying my college tuition. I don’t want to give up, nor do I want to drop out of school. So, I’m turning to crowdfunding, the only way I know that gives me a little hope on how to get some financial help. If I don't pay my tuition, I strongly feel I will no longer be able to pursue my college education---The path to allowing me to achieve my life’s goals and dreams. Thank you in advance for your financial support.
