Summit For Someone Flyer

To understand why I am fundraising for Big City Mountaineers is to understand my love for hiking... Hiking is my high. One glimpse of immense beauty is worth hours or days of endless walking. One trail would not be enough. I continuously hike again and again, wanting more from the Universe. As a kid, my dad's idea of family vacations were trips to the Grand Canyon and Zion. I would complain why we wouldn't go to Disneyworld like my friends. It took me until my 20s, where I got even more serious with my hiking and backpacking, to finally appreciate why my dad took me to these places. It's because you learn more about yourself, the world, and the people around you. My hiking adventures range from Mt. Whitney to the Six-Pack Peak in Southern California. Now I am eager to hike more than ever. In 2017, I am planning two major life-changing expeditions. 1. Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu (April 29 - May 6) 2. Summit to Mt. Kilimanjaro (June 15 - June 23) So again, what am I fundraising for? And why? I am fundraising for Big City Mountaineers. They are a non-profit organization that mentors under-served urban youths through wilderness training. They get to learn valuable and critical skills that will help them in the long run. What I got from nature, I want to help out in any way I can for these kids to get the same opportunities. I am very fortunate to have my dad expose me to the wilderness. Big City Mountaineers is their chance for that exposure. I am fundraising for Big City Mountaineers though their project called Summit For Someone. My fundraising goal is to raise 1000 dollars. As an incentive to reach my goal, I am adding one condition. If my goal is reached, I will dressed up in the wackiest costume and take a picture at both Machu Picchu and the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. As the trip gets closer, I'll add a poll for what choice of costume for me to wear. I could be a banana, a clown, or anything you want! So please help me reach my goal. It's one thing to travel and hike these amazing trails for myself. It's even better that I will be hiking to these places for a greater cause. If you have any questions, shoot me message! I am happy to answer and hear your suggestions.
