On December 30th, 2014 I was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal B Cell Lymphoma. After 5 months of intense inpatient chemotherapy, I entered remission and began my road to recovery. I was aware of the potential for lasting side effects, but I wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming amount of emotions that would surface when treatment was over. I knew recovery wouldn’t be easy but I didn’t realize just how hard it would be, I want nothing more than to be the girl I was before I had cancer.
As time passes, I’ve adapted to the lingering side effects but the emotional scars have been left untreated. I have the opportunity to go to Peru and help others in need, all while exploring the emotional turmoil cancer leaves behind with other survivors. I want to go to Peru to rediscover purpose and motivation while giving back. Any donation helps and is tax deductible in the USA. Thank you for helping me with my Fresh Chapter!
