As many of you know I have a passion for youth development , philanthropy and I am an advocate of following your dreams. Keeping those beliefs in mind I want you to consider donating to YouthBiz, an organization that is doing amazing things to inspire young people to follow their dreams, assume a leadership role in their community and look for ways to be innovative and create entrepreneurial opportunities for themselves. In order to be in the running for the $250,000 in prize money we must collect at least 100 individual donors. Please consider donating at least $10 to YouthBiz.
I am not above providing incentives, so if you decide to support the effort I’ll owe you a cocktail the next time I see you. Thanks LauraB

YouthBiz is an incredible organization in the midst of extraordinary times. We are staring straight into the face of a game-changing opportunity and we fully plan on seizing the moment.
We work with Urban Youth to help create the next generation of business owners, job creators and community leaders by helping them harness their passions, skills and dreams through entrepreneurship.
YouthBiz helps urban youth ages 12 - 24 launch their own ventures in a supported and mentored way, allowing them access to skills development, mentorship and capital to grow their business.
Because we are resource bound, we must turn away three youth that apply for every one we can accept. Every $85.00 we raise we can serve one additional youth for a month in our program.
2012 marks YouthBiz’s 20th year of programming and, while we are grateful for our success, we aren’t about to rest on our laurels. This year has been one of intense introspection and innovation as we work to refocus and reenergize our program model. We are staying true to what has made us successful throughout our past – quality programming and outrageously talented youth – and we are moving boldly and quickly forward with new initiatives, new programming, and new partnerships that increase our impact, maximize our resources, and enhance the entrepreneurial experience for our youth.
