WFD is a global public awareness campaign aimed at increasing the understanding of the daily challenges and accessibility issues associated with living in a wheelchair. WFD challenges able-bodied people to spend one day in a wheelchair and to share their experience with the world through social media. The goal is to raise funds to allow NextStep to expand to communities nationwide and to educate and encourage the public to be more proactive in supporting those living in wheelchairs.
Here at KPG we support the amazing work Janne Kouri and NextStep is doing for local communities to provide the opportunity for life-long health and recovery for people living with paralysis, and mobility impairments nationwide.
Please join us in raising awareness about this amazing non-profit organization! We will be fundraising starting now through our event date of December 5th, 2013. Kris Page and Joe Gossman will be spending December 5th in wheelchairs and ending the day for all to join at Establishment in Hermosa Beach at 6pm to commence our fundraising event and to hear about our days journey in a wheelchair.
If you can give a lot, or a little, every donation helps. Donations will also be accepted at Establishment on December 5th. Please help us raise our goal and support Next Step!
We will be filming and taking pictures of our day in a wheelchair to post after the event.
