By the time you finish reading this sentence, 10 more people will be living in a city than when you started.
By tomorrow, that number will have increased to over 170,000. In six weeks it will equal a population the size of Greater London.
Urbanisation is happening fastest in the cities least able to cope - those in the developing countries of Africa, Asia and South America where access to clean, safe water and effective sanitation is already overstretched and under resourced.
The people who suffer the most are the urban poor, who have no choice but to live in crowded slums with unsafe water, inadequate sanitation, insufficient hygiene, and the disease that results.
Your donation can help us deliver water, sanitation and hygiene to the poorest people in urban areas in African and Asia.

£200 / $320 could provide 10 people with access to hygienic sanitation.
£1250 / $2,000 could provide three households (15-20 people) with access to a shared latrine in Maputo, Mozambique.

We believe that treating "the poor" as consumers and core to your customer base is critical. Give people a service that is worth paying for, that is better, cheaper and more accessible than the service they already have, and they will pay. They already do.
WSUP delivers water and sanitation services to the poorest people in cities. It’s a complex problem – many individuals and organisations are involved and no-one can solve the problem alone. We’re a partnership that brings together the resources and expertise of businesses, charities and academia to bring services to people living in hard-to-reach slums.
Over the last nine years, WSUP has trialed innovative approaches to ensure water and sanitation is delivered in Africa and Asia while also being sustainable. This combines the development of delivery models and building the capacity of local workforce with a strategic, catalytic approach to ensure large scale investments are made in water and sanitation in towns and cities across Africa and Asia.
Your contribution will make a huge difference to those without water and sanitation, something which we often take for granted.
