Team Moo is getting the word out about helping cows like Sonny and Blitzen that have had to, and continue to endure the cruelties they are put through in factory farms.
Go to http://wdyd.farmsanctuary.org starting September 23 and learn about the atrocities cows are put through and read the amazing stories of 2 of our loving rescued cows Blitzen & Sonny.
Blitzen
A Calf’s Journey From Auction Discard to Farm Sanctuary Favorite
Blitzen is a beloved favorite at Farm Sanctuary’s New York Shelter. The happy, playful attitude of this young steer belies the cruelty that marked his earliest days when his life almost ended at a livestock auction at only about a day old.
Sonny
One Calf’s Lifesaving Rescue from Auction
Sonny was most probably less than one day old when Farm Sanctuary National Shelter Director Susie Coston found him lying motionless in a dirty pen at a livestock auction. Dehydrated, exhausted, and sick from infection, he would have died within a few hours without intervention, but Sonny was offered no help from the workers or patrons of the auction. Sadly, discarded and ailing dairy calves like Sonny are common at such facilities.
