I just wanted to spread the word to any and all Utahans who live near Utah Valley who would like to join me in hiking Battle Creek Falls on Saturday, June 24th at 8 AM as part of the Climb Out of the Darkness event! Please help me spread the word if you can!
Hello! I struggled with very severe Postpartum Depression and Anxiety during my son's first year of life. Gratefully, I have been recovered for over a year now! Because I have survived, I want to support other women who have struggled with PPD in any way I can! There is a special hike organized by Postpartum Support International (a world-wide non-profit organization) called Climb Out of the Darkness that brings survivors, family, and friends together to support those who are struggling with PPD and other related illnesses. I have decided to join the cause by hosting a hike locally in Utah Valley! We will meet at the Battle Creek Falls Trail near Pleasant Grove at 8 AM on Saturday, June 24th. It would mean so much to me if you could donate towards my fundraising! The funds will go directly towards helping women with PPD and other similar issues receive the treatment and support that they need. I am a Warrior Mom and support all Warrior Moms out there! Any questions? Let me know! THANKS!!!

Climb Out of the Darkness® is the world’s largest event raising awareness of maternal mental illnesses like postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety & OCD, postpartum PTSD, postpartum psychosis, bipolar/peripartum onset, and pregnancy depression and anxiety.
Climb Out of the Darkness® is held on or near the longest day of the year annually to help shine the most light on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The event features mothers and others across the globe joining together to climb mountains and hike trails to represent their symbolic rise out of the darkness of maternal mental illness and into the light of hope and recovery.
We can’t wait for Climb Out of the Darkness 2017, to be held on June 24th. Mark your calendars! Help us shine the light of hope with our words and our advocacy efforts so that our fellow mothers will receive better information and better treatment, and their new families will get off to the healthy and strong start they deserve. Your donation goes directly to local efforts to achieve these goals! If you have questions or would like to lead or join a Climb or become a Climb sponsor, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
