Unite to IMPACT - USC vs. UCLA
The touching relationship between USC and Jake Olson started in 2009 and was one of the inspiring stories that prompted the creation of Team IMPACT, a national 501(c)3 nonprofit that matches children facing life-threatening or chronic illnesses with college sports teams for a managed two-year program (goteamimpact.org).
Over 500 colleges and universities now have multiple teams matched with courageous children through Team IMPACT. In May, UCLA Football officially "drafted" two brothers with chronic illnesses onto their team -- Angelo and Alonzo Maus -- and UCLA Women's Gymnastics is paired with a young girl with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome through Team IMPACT.
Since 2011, Team IMPACT has matched over 1,300 children with local collegiate teams across the country...truly a win/win program for all involved. You can support matches at USC and UCLA and other Southern California schools by donating today. On each school page, you can sponsor a two-year match for $2,500 or donate toward a match. Every tax-deductible dollar counts and all funds go directly toward matching courageous kids with college teams in Southern California.
Regardless of the score, we can all win by matching brave kids with supportive collegiate athletes!
