USC BEL13VE Challenge
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2017
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Dec 31, 2017
USC is joining with the Jack Jablonski BEL13VE in Miracles Foundation to advance paralysis recovery.
Meet Jered. That's him in the picture to the left. He is the first patient recovering from paralysis in a Mayo Clinic research study that is proving epidural stimulation works.
Using a grant from the BEL13VE Foundation and other funding, earlier this year Mayo Clinic became the first medical center in the world to replicate and validate paralysis recovery results achieved using epidural stimulation.
Today at BEL13VE we are working to raise $130,000 to fund the next patient in the Mayo Clinic epidural stimulation study. Every gift made during the USC BEL13VE Challenge will help provide the miracle of recovery to the next patient. BEL13VE.
UPDATE - Our generous matching gift has increased from $20,000 to $30,000!
Video of Jered’s recovery, and the medical journal reports describing epidural stimulation and the results achieved are all available at the BEL13VE website.
Recovery is now possible. Patients using epidural stimulation therapy have regained abilities once believed permanently lost when the spinal cord is injured.
