BENEFITING: BRIGHT PINK
ORGANIZER: BRIGHT PINK
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
Welcome to my Team Bright Pink fund-raising page for the 2015 New York Marathon being held November 1, 2015.
Some of you may know me as Coach Tina from FFC, but I did not become a marathon endurance coach for Bright Pink because I completed 27 marathons. There is more to the story. I was diagnosed with breast cancer twice. The first time was over 20 years ago and most recently three years ago. I like many other women who get diagnosed with breast cancer look for an organization like Bright Pink for support, a place to talk, to get some comfort, and information about breast cancer. Woman that were diagnosed at an early age are grateful that there is Bright Pink. I decided several years ago to coach the marathon program for Bright Pink to raise money and awareness. This is my way of giving back to such a great organization.
Bright Pink is the only national non-profit organization with an exclusive focus on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women. With ten chapters nationwide, nine diverse educational and support programs and a network of more than 50,000, Bright Pink engages young women in potentially lifesaving conversations about their breast and ovarian health, while arming them with knowledge and empowering them to take control of their health. Being an aunt of 2 teen age girls I feel that it is important for a organization like Bright Pink to be around!
Help me support Bright Pink by making a donation. The process is fast, easy, and secure. I truly appreciate any support you can provide. It will benefit a great cause!
Be Brilliant. Be Bold. Be Bright Pink.
If you can’t make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter!
Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!
Thanks so much for your generosity!
