Hi! My name is Madison. I have three sisters (they're all better than I am in every way imaginable), a dog (she is the light of my life), and I sometimes shoot arrows/hunt monsters/step in a boxing ring/get bitten by wearwolves on national television.
My three sisters (the real stars of the family) are affected with a rare disease called HBSL. Two of them are diagnosed with it, and one carries the gene. This is why, about two years ago, I cried tears of joy while simultaneously doing a happy dance when I heard about Global Genes. Global Genes set out to raise awareness and funds for rare diseases, but in the process, they also created a community of families like mine, who have began to act as a support system for one another. When I refer to Global Genes as my family, I genuinely mean it.
That's why this is such a cool thing: by joining our team (you can do run/walk/wheel at your own pace in your local neighborhood!), donating money, or stopping by to see us THIS Thursday at our local 5k in Southern California, YOU can have a hand in helping us treat, cure, and raise awareness for rare diseases. And isn't that just the coolest thing since sliced bread?
Thank you in advance for your support, donation, and love! Team Rainbow Unicorn Sparkles welcomes you with open arms!
