My Sweat for Change 30-day Moksha NYC hot yoga challenge.
Oh, you want to know what this is all about? Please, read on…
Sweat for Change is a fundraiser fitness challenge where I commit to doing hot yoga for 30 consecutive days and try to raise at least $10 per day for charity. Across a variety of studios the goal is raise over $100,000 for Little Kids Rock, a non-profit that transforms children's lives by restoring music education in local public schools.
As an elementary school (and maybe middle-school) clarinetist I know how valuable musical education can be. It led to important career goals of mine such as snow-ski instructor, water-ski instructor, Sharpshooter photographer, lawyer, and world-traveler. I have yet to break into any musical renditions in my current job, but can certainly shoot the breeze about my favorite of woodwind instrument with a single-reed mouthpiece, a straight cylindrical tube with an approximately cylindrical bore, and a flaring bell.
If you’ll support me, I’d appreciate it.
If you join me for a class, I’d appreciate that too!
And if you support and me and join me for a class with me, wowza, maybe I’ll even play you a tune – if I can just find my old clarinet.
