BENEFITING: BLACKSHEAR BRIDGE
EVENT DATE: Sep 27, 2015
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Summer Moons Campaign.
Eclipsing Our Wildest Dreams was a beautiful, peaceful community gathering and benefit on Sunday Sept 27, 7:10-9:47 PM at Gourmand's Neighborhood Pub on Webberville Rd in Austin.
Thank you, local astronomer Joseph Macry for bringing your telescope! We all enjoyed viewing the total eclipse of the moon with old and new friends.
Thank you, Mike and Tiffany Russell of Gourmands and Access Reality for providing your delicious sandwiches. And for providing a beautiful place to meet with that great oak at the heart of it.
Thanks to our bidders in the silent auction and to all of our contributors to the Summer Moons campaign.
We raised 41% of our $15,000 goal but we're not bummed. We're thankful to our contributors! And we welcome others to join in.
We're continuing with our valuable programs -- holding steady, but just holding on. Now its time to design our holiday season "ask".
You can still make a contribution on this campaign link. And look for our holiday season 2015, end of year campaign starting soon.
Your contribution will benefit Blackshear Bridge 2015-2016 school year programs -- the new First Fridays Bread & Roses Community Farm Stand, a Community Bridge Builder Intern from Huston Tillotson University, Inch by Inch: Putting the Garden in Kindergarten lessons at Blackshear Elementary Fine Arts Academy and maintenance of Blackshear Elementary's Yellow Jacket Garden. To deliver these programs, we need the community to fund them. As a startup, watch how we grow with your proverbial water and turkey manure, ie dinero!
We welcome other neighborhood businesses to join Gourmands and Access Realty on the high road. Email email@example.com or phone 512-299-5776 to partner and make your contribution.
Thank you for paying it forward for the health and wellness of a diverse and sustainable central east Austin!
Want to volunteer? We need you to help create a diverse and sustainable community as we build this educational food hub.
