Save A Sister

My name is Sophie and I am 16. With my friends, Sara and Jacqueline, I want to help raise money for a girl who lives in my former orphanage in China. I was born cleft-affected and not adopted until I was 5.5 years old. When I visited my orphanage last year, I met a girl who is a few years older than me. She was also born cleft-affected and she was never adopted. China did the medically necessary surgeries on her, but she needs to have more procedures done to give her a more normal appearance -- the same operations I had done here in America. She is a very shy girl and hates to go outside the orphanage because people stare at her. She never got her "forever family" and I fear that if she doesn't have these surgeries she also won't ever have a normal life. I'm one of the lucky girls and I want to help a "sister."
My friends agreed to help me raise the money to help her. You might think that this isn't a child with a "life or death" need -- and you would be right. But how about a need for a better quality of life? Please help us give her that.
