BENEFITING: Safe Humane Chicago
ORGANIZER: Safe Humane Chicago
On September 8th I will be running in the Chicago Half Marathon to benefit Safe Humane Chicago. They have many programs Lifetime Bonds, Youth Leaders, Collaborative Justice, Court Case Dogs, DAWG court advocacy and Community Outreach. Mike and I were introduced to Safe Humane through a court case dog we fostered Sophie, she was a special dog that really needed help with socialization which we did in all aspects. Sophie went from a scared little puppy to a happy gal that was adopted to a wonderful family. One of our current dogs Clara has been named an ambassador dog for Safe Humane, which allows her to go into schools, Juvenille detention center, etc. to help people understand that dogs are family and are loving animals that should be treated with lots of love.
Please consider making a donation to Safe Humane, it's making difference in people and dogs lives all over the city.
Thank you so much,

Safe Humane Chicago Runners are volunteers of all running levels raising funds for SHC! Each runner has his or her own races throughout 2013, and will compete with other SHC Runners to be the Top Fundraiser! Our fundraising competition will end with the completion of the Chicago Marathon on October 13. Runners win prizes as they reach their goals, so show them your support!
When you support Safe Humane Chicago, it means we can build safe, humane communities by inspiring positive relationships between people and animals. We are a collaboration of non-traditional partners that recognize the connections between animal abuse and interpersonal violence and the benefits of the human-animal bond. We use the power of compassion and knowledge to break the cycle of violence and neglect against animals and people and replace it with positive, beneficial activities and better informed communities.
