Please support me this summer as I run the Midwest Grand Slam - a series of four, 100-mile trail races - to raise money for an underprivileged youth running program supported by the Steel City Road Runners.
- Kettle Moraine 100: June 1/2 (COMPLETED in 27 hours, 41 minutes!)
- Mohican Trail 100: June 14/15 (COMPLETED in 30 hours, 30 minutes!)
- Burning River 100: July 27/28 (COMPLETED in 23 hours, 36 minutes!)
- Hallucination 100: September 7/8
With your and my help, SCRR will donate new shoes, running apparel and race registrations to underprivileged youth so that they too can experience the confidence -building and healthy benefits of running.
Why shoes and apparel? Most of us would not even consider going for a run without proper footwear and comfortable clothing. Providing these children with quality shoes and apparel will help them discover the joy of running so that they too can develop a lifelong passion and means of healthy living.
Once we outfit these children with quality and functional running shoes and apparel, we’ll help them get trained to participate in local running events. Seeing these kids cross the finish line next race season is a reward in which we all can share, but to get there we need your help!
