BENEFITING: ALLIED SERVICES FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: ALLIED SERVICES FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2014
I'm proud to be running the TCS NYC Marathon to help children and adults with disabilities in NE and Central Pennsylvania served by Allied Services. Any size donation will help. Donate $30 in my honor and you'll be eligible to receive a cool moisture-wicking Ryan's Run exercise shirt.
I have been a serious runner for eight years and have completed 12 half marathons, two full marathons, and numerous other races. My husband, Bob, is a triathlete and we spend our spare time together training, racing, and traveling. I work full-time as a photographer at Quantum Rehab/Pride Mobility and part-time as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Moses Taylor Hospital.
I'm running the New York City Marathon this year with Ryan’s Run because I've seen firsthand the wonderful impact Allied Services has on people's lives and getting them rehabilitated. I have the unique experience of getting to interact with rehabilitation patients at both of my jobs, so I know how important Allied is. My goal is to not only to complete the marathon at my best personal time, but to also help give back to the rehabilitation community and raise awareness of the great work that Allied does every day.
ABOUT RYAN'S RUN 5
Ryan's Run 5 is here! For the fifth year running, WNEP TV's Ryan Leckey will lead a team of runners in raising funds and awareness for children and adults with disabilities. Proceeds from Ryan's Run benefit Allied Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities, life-changing injuries and chronic illness.
