BENEFITING: ALLIED SERVICES FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: ALLIED SERVICES FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2014
I'm proud to be running the TCS NYC Marathon to help children and adults with disabilities in NE and Central Pennsylvania served by Allied Services. Any size donation will help. Donate $30 in my honor and you'll be eligible to receive a cool moisture-wicking Ryan's Run exercise shirt.
I am honored to be a part of the team running for such a brilliant cause. I am a graduate of Scranton Prep and the University of Scranton. I was an elementary school teacher in the Scranton School District until 2005, when I left to become a full time mother.
I live in Clarks Green, where I make my home with my husband and three children.
I began running in September as a way to be an example to my children of how goals can be achieved through hard work. My hope was to complete the Scranton Half Marathon with a goal time, and I did. It has also been a great way to stay in shape to keep up with my very active children.
Ryan's Run is important to me as Allied Services provides vital and essential services from which I have both seen and heard many inspirational stories. The equipment purchased and additional services paid for with money raised is so important to keep up with advancements in technology. This allows the many dedicated professionals to continue to provide the very best services and therapies to their clients.
