If you are able to read this, you are fortunate to have had a wholesome education thus far. There are millions of girls around the world to whom we want to open such doors.
I have recently joined Women's Education Project, which strives to provide tuition, books, and transportation to girls and young women in South India. There are families surviving on less than $1.50 a day. These families cannot afford to send their children, their girls, to schools. But as we know, an investment in education is as investment in someone's future. We need to strengthen the minds of girls and women who have dreams so that they become women with vision.
One college student's tuition in parts of India costs $250. With your help today, we can ensure that four girls will be able to afford a year of schooling! Any amount that you are able to donate will have an impact on funding these girls' education.
As we run on June 28th in Central Park, our WEP students will be running in India - all to raise awareness and funds for women's education. Let's show our solidarity to our sisters, our daughters, our friends, our neighbors, and to the girls we will never know because they all deserve a fighting chance.
Thanks for your support!
