The Recovery Ride aims to connect our love of cycling with our commitment to giving back to the communities we live in. Whether a casual or recreational cyclist, or training for the “tour,” our three route lengths (12/25/40 miles) will satisfy one and all.
The Recovery Ride is a charity bike event to be held on January 29, 2017, connecting our love of cycling with our desire to give back to nonprofits and causes in the San Diego region. We specifically target organizations whose focus is recovery from alcohol and drugs, and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, or both. Our beneficiaries in 2017 are:
Stepping Stone of San Diego and the San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative.
Although cycling is its own reward, we’re taking it even further! We’re reaching out to community groups to “host” the rest stops and hand out refreshments. Each rest stop will have its own theme, performance, dance, music, whatever they choose. Details about rest stop hosts ... coming very soon!
