This is where I am supposed to write an emotional story about why I am raising money for the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA), to move you to open your wallets and make a donation. Well, that’s just not my style. If you want to know how Huntington’s Disease (HD) has affected my family and those close to me, just ask me and I will tell you. What you should know is that HD is a fatal genetic brain disorder that currently has no cure. HD has been described as having ALS, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s simultaneously. So why am I raising money for HDSA? Mostly, because I just hate HD. I have personally seen what HD does to a person and how it affects families living with HD. As you can imagine, it is mostly negative. However, I have also seen what strength, courage, and true love is, in these situations as well. Ask me about those truly inspirational stories, too. There is hope. Your donation will help fund research for the treatment and, someday, a cure for HD. Thank you for your support and generosity. It is greatly appreciated.
