The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge is an annual friendly fundraising competition in October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Nonprofit organizations serving domestic violence survivors with financial empowerment services around the U.S. participate for FREE and compete to raise funds.
DIVISIONS The Purple Purse Challenge has three divisions based on participating organizations’ operating budgets. Organizations with similar budgets will compete against each other, leveling the playing field for those with smaller budgets.
PRIZES Called Challenge Partners, participating organizations in each division will compete for $265,000 in grand prizes and Bonus Promotions throughout the Challenge.
Each division's Challenge will run simultaneously from Tuesday, October 2 at 12 p.m. ET through Wednesday, October 31 at 1:59:59 p.m. ET.
• The teams that raise the most online during the Challenge in each division will each win a $100,000 donation
• Second place winners will each win $50,000
• Third place winners will each win $25,000
• Fourth place winners will each win $10,000
•Fifth place winners will each win $5,000
Plus, there will be Weekly Bonus Promotions in each division that offer extra opportunities for organizations to win another $225,000.
And, the best part is Challenge Partners keep all the money raised during the campaign. It’s a win-win that benefits nonprofits and the survivors of domestic violence and financial abuse they serve.
