Did you know that 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence in their lifetimes and that the lack of knowledge about managing personal finances is one of the biggest challenges facing a victim when leaving an abusive relationship?
The MoneyW!SE program is addressing this issue. w!se provides survivors of domestic violence with a 12 week personal finance program culminating with the w!se Financial Literacy Certification exam and the opportunity to earn a credential – the w!se Certification of Financial Literacy (CFL™) – evidence of their skills and knowledge to be financially self-sufficient.
The program transforms lives. Take Rosa, a program alumna from The Bronx, New York:
“The w!se class is the best! It helped me learn about how to budget, how to manage my credit; what financial goals I want to achieve and much more! It also has me thinking about my children; what financial skills do I want to give them that weren't given to me at their age?”
With your help, we can reach more people like Rosa.
Please help us unlock the door to a life of financial wellness for at-risk adults. Consider making a donation today or becoming a fundraiser for our campaign.
Thank you very much for your support!
