This year the entire Pure Barre family is coming together for our first ever Pure Give Challenge to raise money for worthwhile causes all over the country! Pure Barre Memphis is thrilled to be a part of the Pure Give campaign and we are excited to support our local community by fundraising for St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital. We will be collecting donations at the front desk all month long, and all proceeds from sales of bottled watter will be donated to the cause. Additionally, we will have special event each week during the challenge to raise additional funds.
About St. Jude
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, is one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. St. Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. Children from all 50 states and from
around the world have come through the doors of St. Jude for treatment, and thousands more around the world have benefited from the research conducted at St. Jude - research that is shared freely with the global medical community. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance. No child is denied treatment because of a family's inability to pay.
Working together under one roof, our physicians and scientists have pioneered treatments that have helped push the overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80 percent today. The survival rate for the most common form of childhood cancer, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, has risen from just 4 percent in 1962 to 94 percent today. Learn more at www.stjude.org.
