BENEFITING: Humane Society for Hamilton County
ORGANIZER: Humane Society for Hamilton County
EVENT DATE: Sep 19, 2015
Welcome to TEAM LUNA's page!!!
Luna is a 1 1/2 year old American Foxhound, so she's already close to my heart! She was hit by a car and her owners took her to IACC and surrendered here there to be euthanized. Luckily for Luna, the Humane Society for Hamilton County pulled her from IACC and gave her the medical attention she needed.
Luna had one of the worse broken legs they had ever seen. X-Rays showed complete, displaced fractures of the radius and ulna in her right front leg. She had surgery on 8.12.15 and a steel plate was inserted to help correct the fractures. She is now recovering with a stylish purple cast and the cone of shame.
Now that Luna is on the mend, there are bills to be paid and that's where YOU can help!
My goal is to raise $3,000 by September 19th to help cover the cost of Luna's medical bills. I will match my donations up to $500, so no amount is too small. (And you donation is tax deductible.)
- $1,000 in pledges will cover the costs to shelter 20 animals for one week.
- $300 in pledges saves the life of a heartworm positive dog.
- $100 in pledges disinfects the shelter for one week to prevent the spread of illness.
- $40 in pledges will pay for the spay or neuter of one animal.
- $25 in pledges will vaccinate one dog or cat.
The Humane Society for Hamilton County is an open admission facility for the homeless animals of Hamilton County.
They will not euthanize any adoptable animal for time or space or because they are old, sick or injured.
They will continue to educate the community regarding the importance of spay/neuter and responsible pet ownership.
They will continue offering programs that not only help the animals but help humans too... like Pets Healing Vets which pairs veterans suffering from PSTD or traumatic brain injuries wiht companion animals at no charge.
They will continue give every animal that passes through their doors their best chance for a second chance!
Donating though this website is simple, fast and totally secure. Please note there is an optional 10% fee if you donate online. This fee is OPTIONAL and will go directly to Crowdrise. Simply click on the word EDIT to the right of Optional Processing Fee. Click on the drop down menu and select $0 because I can't stand this fee thing, so you won't give more that you want to. And since you've read this far, you might as well go ahead and donate!
Please help me help Luna and the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
