Donate to PBRC:
The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland’s mission is to close the justice gap in Maryland and provide equal access to the legal system for all people.
In civil cases, including foreclosure, tax sale, family mediation, custody battles, and immigration, access to a lawyer is not a guarantee.
Thus, many poor families, elderly people, veterans, and other underserved Marylanders risk losing everything when they do not have access to legal resources or a lawyer who can help them interpret the law, fight for their rights, and avoid fraud and financial abuse.
At PBRC we directly serve low income elderly people, abused and neglected immigrant children, families with contested custody cases, American Veterans, and other low income people in Maryland. PBRC helps them to stay in their homes, keep their families together, gain citizenship while escaping violence, and more.
Stop the cycle of injustice – donate to PBRC to help Marylanders out of a cycle of homelessness, poverty, abuse, and injustice.
Your donations also support our direct services in the following projects:
Consumer Protection Project: PBRC helps working class Marylanders who are disproportionally poor and are likely to be taken advantage of in cases with alleged debt. We represent them in court and help them out of fraudulent claims, and/or to set up payment plans to avoid losing their homes and possessions.
Unaccompanied Children Project: PBRC directly represents immigrant children seeking US citizenship to escape abuse and neglect in their home countries.
Family Mediation Project: PBRC directly helps families in contested custody cases to prevail with favorable, safe family situations for the long term.
Veterans Benefits: PBRC works to directly serve veterans, many of whom serve this country and then end up homeless with no access to the benefits they deserve for their service.
Your donations are tax deductible.
PBRC is the only statewide nonprofit organization with the mission of ensuring equal access to legal services through volunteerism.
