Why do I Run? For the 1:68 with Autism diagnosis today; and the families asking "What now?" I run for Autism!
September 26, 2016
BENEFITING: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
ORGANIZER: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Our nephew Nico was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 22 months. With early intervention and ABA therapy, Nico has come a long way. However, he continues to live with all the difficulties and challenges of ASD every day. A cause and cure need to be found now, as this disorder has reached epidemic numbers.
On November 6, 2016, my husband and I will be running the 26.2 Mile New York City Marathon in honor of Nico's accomplishments and for the Organization of Autism Research. We will be raising funds for the millions of children and adults that are living with this life altering disorder every day, as members of the charitable team representing OAR.
Donating through this site is simple and totally secure. All donations are sent directly to OAR by Crowdrise, who will email you a printable record of your donation. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts for Team Nico.
Thank you so much for all of your support! Please share this request with anyone that may be inspired to donate as well.
