BENEFITING: National Stroke Assn.
ORGANIZER: National Stroke Assn.
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
On February 25, 2015, Jason's father, Steve Goodman, suffered a massive stroke and passed away at the age of 60 the following day. Steve was a healthy, active and loving man and his stroke changed the trajectory of all of our lives.
Jason's father was a native of the Bronx and the New York City Marathon is a fitting tribute to his NYC roots.
In 2013, Jason completed the Baltimore Marathon and in 2014 Jason and Sara completed the Wine Glass Marathon. However, they did not fundraise for any charity for either of these events. Just two short weeks ago the Stroke Association was the furthest thing from our minds. However, in a single moment, the Stroke Association gained paramount importance to our family.
Steve's stroke is a testiment to how quickly a stroke can occur and change lives forever. We are running to support anything that can be done to research causes, prevention, treatment and education in order to help make it so that less families experience what we did this past week.
Thank you in advance for your generous donation.
