BENEFITING: National Stroke Assn.
ORGANIZER: National Stroke Assn.
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
As you now know, this year I have agreed to participate in the 2015 NYC Marathon running on behalf of the National Stroke Association by joining Team Go Big or Go Home.
I was originally asked to join Team "Go Big or Go Home" to run the 2013 NYC Marathon in honor of Trish Marx (original team founder Patrick Marx's mother) who suffered a stroke several years ago and continues her recovery today.
For various reasons (most notably weddings, child birth and multiple knee injuries…) none of the original team member will be running this year, so I'm also running in honor of their families and other friends whose families have been victims to this life altering event.
Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S. and a leading cause of adult disability. National Stroke Association is the only non-profit 100% dedicated to stroke and I am glad to use my participation in the 2015 NYC Marathon to raise funds to support them in the fight against stroke. Their mission is to reduce the incidence and impact of stroke and I encourage you to learn more about their mission at www.stroke.org.
It would mean a great deal to me if you would consider supporting my individual fundraising efforts for stroke
The 2015 NYC Marathon will be my second time running the marathon, and my goal this year is to exceed the minimum $3,500 donation to the National Stroke Association.
Please join me by making a donation of any amount to this important cause by clicking the "Donate" button.
Many thanks for your support!
