EVENT DATE: May 31, 2016
This May 2016, undergraduate students from NYU’s Stern School of Business will travel to the Ghanaian village of Woadze Tsatoe to create a Clean Water social enterprise and construct a School as part of a class Stern International Volunteers (SIV) Ghana. Video of 2015 program.
100% of all proceeds collected (minus Crowdrise fees) will go to fund these 2 projects. Your contribution will have a direct & immediate impact upon improving the lives of 500 villagers. Students & faculty pay their own travel costs.
The unhygienic drinking water in Woadze Tsatoe causes unsanitary living conditions and numerous health problems. NYU Stern students, in partnership with Clean Water for Everyone, will construct a clean water pump to provide clean water and operate it as a social enterprise for village health needs.
The village recognizes the importance of educating their children; however, they do not have a school building or educational tools. NYU Stern students, in partnership with Adanu, a local non-profit, will build a 3-room school block to house the community’s first school.
