BENEFITING: THE MICHAEL LISNOW RESPITE CENTER
ORGANIZER: THE MICHAEL LISNOW RESPITE CENTER
EVENT: 2016 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2016
Friends & Family,
The tradition continues... We're returning to Boston challenging ourselves to not only run the 26.2 miles, but more importantly, to raise even more money for the Respite Center this April!
Last year the Respite Center raised just over $600,000 with a team of 75 runners. These funds made it possible to grant scholarships and also provide over 40,000 hours of service to families in need.
The Respite Center was founded by Sharon (sister/aunt) in honor of her beloved son, Michael. Michael was born 16 weeks early, weighed less than 1 pound, and faced enormous challenges such as blindness and cerebral palsy. Even though Michael passed away some 19 years ago at the tender age of 10, he had and continues to have a profound impact on countless people.
We humbly ask for you to take a few quiet moments, consider the great blessings you have in your life, and then contribute what you can to help provide much-needed light for those less fortunate.
Our fundraising goal this year from our friends and family is $45,000, and whatever total we are fortunate to bring in will be matched by an extraordinarily generous benefactor.
We know we can get there with your support and prayers. Thank you for whatever you can do to be a part of the great work being done at the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center, and may God bless you and your family.
