About Target Zero
Target Zero is a nonprofit working to get every shelter across the United States to zero-kill. Every year, close to three million adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized due to overcrowding. That's not ok. Our team goes city to city mentoring shelter and animal welfare leaders to work together in getting their city to 'zero'. We do this by teaching our proven-to-work Pyramid Program of 'best practices'.
Launched in 2013, we've already gotten Waco, Texas and Huntsville, Alabama to zero-kill (wahoo!!) and have more cities on the way, but we won't stop until every single city has stopped euthanizing healthy cats and dogs!
