They say that if you share your wish, it won't come true... But I don't care!
My birthday is July 24th and what I wish for my birthday is to raise a toooooonnn of money for Hilarity For Charity!!
Let's be honest, I don't need another dress, or purse, or pair of earrings (as much as I love those things, ahem, husband). So, I'm giving my birthday to something I care so much about: finding a cure for Alzheimer's and helping those who are currently affected by it.
We at Hilarity For Charity (www.hilarityforcharity.org) are up to some pretty great things that will directly help caregivers, and fund studies looking for answers to the many questions Alzheimer's poses. While I have to keep details under wraps FOR NOW, I can assure you that if you are even considering giving me a birthday gift, if you do it here, in this way, it'll be a gift that keeps on giving.
And remember that guy on kickstarter who raised $45K to make potato salad (http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2014/07/07/kickstarter-potato-salad/12300217/) ?? He did that with many, many small donations. So please, any amount will truly make a difference. Please, we can't let potato salad win, can we? Not on my BIRTHDAY, at least...
