Join us for the Greater Chicago Food Depository's 31st Annual Hunger Walk on Saturday, June 25 at Chicago's beautiful and historic Jackson Park on the shores of Lake Michigan. Funds raised by the Hunger Walk support a local network of food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters fighting hunger every day throughout Cook County.
When you join the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry Team or make a donation to the team, 100% of the funds will directly benefit Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry. In FY 2015, the Food Pantry procured over 340,000 lbs of food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The funds from the Food Pantry's team and team support help make the procurement of that food possible.
The OPRF food pantry serves 12 zip codes including Austin, Humboldt Park, Berwyn, Stickney and Elmwood Park as well as suburbs surrounding Oak Park River Forest and Forest Park
Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry believes that no one should go hungry. Every client who comes to the pantry receives 50 pounds of fresh produce, eggs, meat, whole grains, and quality canned and dry goods. We also provide assistance in connecting with SNAP and other benefits to help stabilize families and make food security more permanent.
It really makes a difference . Thank you for supporting my walk.
