Former Arizona Cardinals, John Bronson is competing in the 11th Annual Dancing With the Stars Arizona in honor of his late wife Dawn Root Bronson, who recently passed away from kidney disease at the young age of 37. This support will benefit National Kidney Foundation of Arizona and provide kidney disease awareness.
"Some things in life are greater and more important than my fear of dancing in front of a crowd. Spreading awareness and being an advocate about kidney disease is of the utmost importance to me, especially after seeing my wife fight the battle with kidney cancer."
In addition to playing football for the hometown Arizona Cardinals, John is the CEO of PACC Pro Network and President of the National Football League Players Association in Arizona.
John received his bachelors degree from The Pennsylvania State University, where he was a 4- year football letterman and member of Penn State's Honors Society.
"Last time I did ballroom dancing, was our wedding day dance, so I'm dancing with the memories of Dawn and me almost 9 years to the date."
John hopes his participation and action in Dancing With The Stars can influence others and help to be pro-active and aware about kidney disease.
