The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and regain control of their future. Since opening its doors in 1994, the IRC in Salt Lake City has resettled over 11,500 refugees and provided a number of extended programs and services to thousands more. The minute these brave individuals step off the plan in Salt Lake City, IRC staff and volunteers are there to help them on the final leg of their journey as the IRC helps them positively integrate, take care of their families, develop their careers and small businesses, understand their rights, achieve citizenship, pursue their long-term dreams and more.
