Wendy Williams, in collaboration with the Hunter Foundation at the Community Foundation of NJ, is sending girls to sleep-away camp!
We are working with several community-based organizations in NY and NJ, to select and refer girls, ages 10-13 years old, who otherwise would not have the means to attend camp.
In its first year of service (June 2014), the Hunter Foundation fully sponsored three (3) girls and is now seeking to sponsor up to ten (10) girls who will attend a 13-day residential summer camp program - free of charge. These girls get a chance to experience the great outdoors in a 460-acre site at YMCA Camp Mason located in Hardwick, NJ.
Your tax-deductible donation will be used to help pay for camp fees (cabin accommodations and meals) and activities including, swim lessons, pool games, kayaking, fishing, pond study, creek hikes, outdoor sports, arts & crafts, painting/drawing, archery, and horseback riding lessons.
The Hunter Foundation mission is to forge alliances with public and private organizations for the purposes of helping women and men overcome addiction and provide opportunities for them to improve their lives and to improve the lives of children and families through innovative programs, services, and grant making initiatives.
