This fundraising campaign aims to help Rasma against her battle with cancer.
Rasma has been recently diagnosed with a cancer relapse and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment in Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Center (RGCI & RC), Delhi. She has to undergo three chemotherapy with a possibility of surgery at the end of chemo cycles.
In 2012, Rasma was diagnosed with stomach cancer (stage III) showing symptoms of hematemesis (vomiting of blood) and black stools at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center(RGCI & RC). She underwent six cycles of painful chemotherapy and a surgery to remove the cancerous portion for her stomach, during which 50% of her stomach had to be removed. After her third chemotherapy, she developed bleeding and faintness. However, she survived the treatment procedure with constant support of her family and friends.
After that, she had to continuously visit RGCI & RC every few months for follow-up treatments and had to maintain a strict diet routine. Life began to seem normal. She joined art class and was planning on ways to help others who went through similar ordeal.
But during her followup treatment in June 2015, it was found that she has a cancer relapse.
This campaign strives to support Rasma's family during this difficult time and help with raising fund for her treatment.
