Help DDI Repair Our Schools
DDI is a not-for-profit agency providing educational, residential, day habilitation and vocational services, as well as medical and dental services through our Opti-Healthcare division to over 5,000 children and adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities at many sites across Long Island. From humble beginnings a half-century ago, DDI has become the largest provider of services for people with Autism on Long Island.
DDI’s children’s educational programs are conducted at four different sites throughout Suffolk County. One of those sites, the Hollywood Drive School in Smithtown, is over 50 years old and serves over 150 students enrolled in the school-age special education program. This campus is in need of the most repairs at this current time. The site needs full replacement of its 50+ year-old roof as well as the boilers that have reached the end of their useful lives. The new roof will provide energy efficiency with protection from the elements and will be built to last over 30 years.
We need your help to make these crucial repairs.
