On October 4th, 2016 Hurricane Matthew hit Haiti as a Category 4 storm affecting millions with 145 mile-per-hour winds. The storm left the already impoverished nation of Haiti devastated, destroying more than 200,000 homes, killing over 375 people and counting, and displacing thousands.
With the threat of widespread cholera and starvation hanging over the citizens of Haiti, they need our help now more than ever. Please join us on Saturday, November 26th at the beautiful Lake Scranton for a 5k Run/Walk benefitting Haiti disaster relief. 100% of the proceeds go towards disaster relief through St. Luke's Foundation for Haiti. Families, groups, walkers, and corporate teams are all welcome! Race begins at 9:00am.
To register, please donate $40 per person towards this cause. Donations are also welcome and encouraged if you cannot attend. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you all on November 26th! Please car pool with your friends and family as parking is limited in the Lake Scranton lot. Contact Anne Cognetti at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions.
