Hope Reins Poop-a-Thon
EVENT DATE: Apr 30, 2016
The 2nd Annual Poop-A-thon is a family-friendly fundraising event held at the beautiful 33-acre home of Hope Reins. Structured similarly to a walk-a-thon, participants are asked to raise money in exchange for partaking in a lively morning of good, clean fun at the ranch. The mission: Scoop up funds by shoveling ‘pledged’ piles of manure – which of course you’ll find scenically nestled throughout the pastures, home to our 14-horses. If you don’t SCOOP, then consider SUPPORTING one of the industrious individuals shown on our leaderboard. Or, please DONATE. Regardless, join us Saturday morning, April 30, 10 AM – NOON, for some old-fashioned merriment, refreshments and fellowship. We’ll be knee-deep in fun! Download Scooper Instruction Toolkit here.
Our passion is to inspire true Hope and real Healing for every child. Hope Reins is a nonprofit ranch community that serves kids in crisis aged 5-18 by pairing them with rescued horses to find hope and healing. They struggle with severe issues such as trauma (loss of a parent, military deployment), physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, cancer, suicide, debilitating anxiety, living in homelessness, poverty, group home or foster care. Our unique program helps hurting kids find comfort through one-on-one sessions with extraordinary horses, many of which are rescued and faced abuse or neglect themselves. It is the horse’s story of triumph and redemption that resonates with the child and helps them find a path toward healing, forgiveness and hope. All of our services are free of charge.
