South Tillamook County was recently identified as lacking in community recreation areas. In fact, Pacific City does not have a single play ground located within walking distance of any homes. NVCA is currently working on building a park in the Cape Kiwanda area to help alleviate this need and bring more educational opportunities to an underserved community.
Imagine a playground for kids, a skate park for teens, picnic areas, an interpretive center linked to the research being conducted offshore, and additional parking for Cape Kiwanda activities!
But we deperately need your help in order to move into the next phase of park building. We have the property donated by Tillamook Lightwave and the University of Washington and with in-kind donations of time and labor we have it mostly cleared and an entrance apron poured. We have chosen a designer from several proposals. Now we need the funding! If you can donate even $25 we will have a chance of making this community park dream come true. And it's completely tax deductible! Please help!
We also need volunteers to help with each phase of the development, contact us if you would like to volunteer!
