BENEFITING: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
EVENT DATE: Oct 08, 2017
It's been 4 years since Gretchen's son, Evan, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 4. That year, Gretchen made a committment to run one race a year to raise money for autism...at a time where she felt pretty powerless and was floundering in the world of the newly diagnosed, using her legs to support autism research seemed like a great idea. In typical awesome sister fashion, Lauren was quick to join in, running her first race for OAR in the fall of 2013. Chicago will be Gretchen's 4th run with OAR, and Lauren's 2nd.
Autism can be really, really difficult. It can be isolating. It can be rigid thinking. It can be self harm. It can be, for Gretchen at times, heartbreak.
Autism can also be really, really amazing. It brings great appreciation of milestones. It brings new friends and new experiences. It allows you to find love in ways you never thought possible.

Thank you for your support of Ginger Storms road to Chicago. Together we can improve the quality of life for individuals with ASD and their families.
