BENEFITING: GENERATION ALIVE
ORGANIZER: GENERATION ALIVE
EVENT: San Francisco Marathon 2014
EVENT DATE: Jul 26, 2015
I'll be running the San Francisco Double Marathon to raise funds for Generation Alive. We'll start at midnight on Saturday and will run the marathon course backwards, finishing in time to join the rest of the runners at the start of the regular marathon Sunday morning. Please join me in supporting this great cause focused on moving a generation to act.
Generation Alive works in collaboration with other compassion-based organizations with this primary focus: to offer young people tangible opportunities to act compassionately by actively helping other young people who are living in the pain caused by extreme poverty or injustice.
Moving a generation to act
We do this by working with schools, churches, sport teams, and various youth organizations offering education and service projects that engage students in clean water initiatives, food projects, aiding orphans, and working towards the abolishment of child slavery.
GENERATION ALIVE was founded by Larisa and Jeremy Affeldt, pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, to inspire and motivate a generation of young people to get involved and live a life of compassion toward others who live with the pain of extreme poverty. www.GenerationAlive.org
