BENEFITING: Friends of the Rouge
ORGANIZER: Friends of the Rouge
I am so proud to be a part of the Friends of the Rouge (FOTR) organization. FOTR has been doing incredible work throughout the Rouge River watershed since 1986 including clean-up and restoration projects, water quality monitoring education for school-age students, and hands-on research of frogs, toads, benthic macroinvertebrates, and fish as well as invasive species - by engaging thousands of volunteers and students each year.
All of this requires sustainable funding and the generous support of many. Please consider donating to help us win the RiseDetroit Charity Challenge! With your help, we have a chance!!
Friends of the Rouge is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1986 to raise awareness about the need to clean up the Rouge River in southeast Michigan. Our mission is to promote restoration and stewardship of the Rouge River ecosystem through education, citizen involvement and other collaborative efforts, for the purpose of improving the quality of life for the people, plants, and animals of the watershed.
