Fall River Solar for Schools
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Mar 31, 2018
Fall River Electric Cooperative is partnering with several local area high schools to provide educational opportunities in the fields of wind and solar generation. Our fundraising effort will facilitate small scale distributive generation systems to be installed at each of three local schools. The systems will include a wind turbine, solar panels, and a real-time display for each location. Included as part of the project will be teacher training and classroom materials to help with integration into each of the school's curriculum. Businesses and utilities nationwide face a changing energy landscape—including growing customer demand for renewable energy options that are accessible, affordable and local. It is our hope to give local students a head start toward understanding and using these emerging technologies.
