President of Resorts World Casino NYC
Scott Molina serves as President of Resorts World Casino, New York City. In this position, he oversees all operational aspects of the property. With more than 34 years of casino gaming leadership, expertise, management and community relationship experience he brings a wealth of knowledge in operational turnarounds, analytics, property development and working capital management. Prior to this position, Scott successfully held the position of COO and Vice President of Slot Operations at Resorts World Casino in New York City. Prior to joining Resorts World Casino, New York City, Mr. Molina also held senior management gaming positions with Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, which included Director of Slot Operations and Executive Director of Gaming Operations.
Most recently, Scott spearheaded Resorts World’s responsible gambling initiative and worked in conjunction with the New York Council for Problem Gambling and at a local level, Queens Center for Excellence (QCFE), to reduce gambling-related problems in the community. In addition to his work with QCFE, Resorts World Casino, New York city, currently employs participants in Queens Centers for Progress’ Supported Employment program, which puts people with disabilities to work in the community. The program provides employment at a prevailing wage for the individuals whom they employ.
Scott is pleased to be this year’s “Chef of the Year’ and is looking forward to helping out Queens Centers for Progress as they set their sights on providing quality supports and services to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Queens now and for the future.
Scott Molina currently resides in Linwood, NJ with his wife of more than 30 years, Jeanie and two children Amber and Scott. His charitable interests center primarily on international humanitarian efforts that benefit impoverished people around the world, particularly those that seek to better the lives and education of children.
Vice President/District Manager
Maria Odysseos joined Investors Bank in 2013. She is a Vice President, Retail District Manager of the Bank’s Queens West /Manhattan District, where she oversees 8 retail branches. Her responsibilities include developing, managing and growing business in this market.
Prior to joining Investors Bank, Maria spent 29 years ago with Independence Community Bank which was acquired by Sovereign Bank in 2006. She began her banking career as a part time teller and worked her way up to the management position she holds today.
As a community banker, Maria possesses boundless passion and enthusiasm for serving people in her community. She is a wonderful role model for her team and willingly donates her time and energy to local non-for profit groups. She is very excited to be this year’s Chef of the Year and looks forward to helping QCP continue to provide the quality supports and services for which they are recognized.
Besides her many responsibilities at the branch, Maria is an active member in the community. She belongs to the Queens Chamber of Commerce, where she is a Co- Chairperson of their Not for Profit Committee. In addition, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and is a Board member for the Queens Council on the Arts. In May 2015, Maria was recognized by the Queens Courier on their Top Women in Business list. Maria received her Bachelor of Science in Management from St. John’s University in 1990. Born and raised in Queens, she currently resides in Bayside with her family.

An Evening of Fine Food provides an informal networking setting for people from the Queens Business community to socialize as they sample the gourmet delicacies provided by Queens’ restaurants and chefs. The event benefits over 2,200 individuals challenged by mild to severe developmental disabilities.
Each year we honor individuals whose dedication to making a difference in the community is exemplary. This year’s “Chefs of the Year” are: Scott Molina, President, Resorts World Casino, New York City; Jennifer McGroarty , Principal, legal/Compliance, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P.; Maria Odysseos, Vice President/District Manager, Investors Bank.
Queens Centers for Progress has provided programs and services to people with developmental disabilities for sixty -seven years. Created in 1950 as United Cerebral Palsy of Queens, the organization changed its name in 2001 to reflect the wide variety of developmental disabilities served by our programs.
The primary source of funding for Evening of Fine Food is from corporate sponsors, whose support is paramount in insuring the success of our event. Monies raised will be used for necessary items that are not covered by government funding.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Free parking is available at Terrace On The Park. The 7 train 111 St. stop is a half-mile away from the Terrace entrance.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, there are no printed tickets. Please make sure you supply the name of your guests so that they can be checked in on our guest list the evening of the event.
