BENEFITING: Navy SEAL Foundation
EVENT DATE: May 31, 2015
Naval Special Warfare is a community that I have had the privilege to work with over the last few years. This small community of SEALs, SWCCs and support personnel has seen its share of tragedy and difficulty over the last decade or so.
The Navy SEAL Foundation is an organization that provides assistance to the NSW community during those difficult times.
The Memorial Day Challenge is one of several fund raising events that the Navy SEAL Foundation hosts to help support their cause.
In 2014, 89 people participated in the Memorial Day Challenge. Each participant represented a member of the Naval Special Warfare community lost in training or combat since September 11, 2001.
Through the generosity of my friends who donated through this site, I was able to participate in the Memorial Day Challenge fundraiser held at Half Moon Bay that year. I will always be grateful for that opportunity.
In 2015, there will be 92 participants to account for additional losses in the Naval Special Warfare community.
This year, I decided to pay for my own sponsorship, so my goal is to just raise enough to match the sponsorship amount of $2000.
Any donations or just taking time to read about the Navy SEAL Foundation and the work they do is greatly appreciated!
